Tucker's Onion Burgers - Oklahoma City

I have been to Tuckers on 23rd street twice.  Prices are decent .  The burgers appeared to be well cooked and comprised of a both a decent quality and quantity of meat.  The fries also have an attractive appearance.  I wish they would ease up on the amount of salt they use on the burgers and fries,  salt should enhance the flavor but it absolutely dominates the flavor and even overpowers the grease.  I usually give a restaurant at least three tries but I would like to put off needing to visit a hypertension specialist....

NOT A TRUE EL RENO ONION BURGER! This is a want to be! I was disappointed with the burger. I expected it to be on par with the onion burgers in El Reno. The onions need to be smashed into the meat and not just thrown on top! If you're going to do something, do it right!

Cheesy Mother Tucker!! A one pound beast of meat, cheese, and onions. Definitely need your stretchy pants after eating this beast. They load the onions up but if you prefer none or just a little, they will gladly honor your request. They also gave great shakes and fries. Great staff and great food.

A decent burger and I really enjoyed my lemonade from here. Cute old school atmosphere but if I remember correctly they did not have ranch, which I found saddening.

Tucker's in an onion burger spot in the tradition of the acclaimed joints in El Reno.  I'm not a big fan of the "smashed" style of cooking onion burgers so Tucker's may not work for me anyway but I saw good reviews and I usually like the "Good Egg" group places.  I prefer sautéed or caramelized onion and I really like to be able to taste something other than overcooked onions which is what I found here.  You know, the beef, cheese, pickles, jalapenos, mustard etc.  All I tasted was the onions and I tasted them all night.  The fries were the thin type and could have been crispier but basically okay.  There are many great burger places in OKC....S&B's, Earls Rib, Irma's, The Garage and Nic's to name a few so you really don't settle.  The facilities were neat and clean and the staff was great.  I'll try again and if they can make my burger to order I'll amend my review.
