It's perfect for a date night, a quick lunch, to-go dinner, or a snack. Parking is in the back, next to the event center. Be careful to watch little ones if you bring them here because the truck is next to the street and it is quite busy. If you are ever looking for delicious chorizo tacos or lengua sopes, come here. You won't regret it.
Great taco truck on the southside. The young kid working the window was funny and honest. I asked him what 's his favorite things on the menu and he told us he 's about sick of everything on the menu and doesn 't eat here anymore. I took it as a real complement to the chef since he came back so many times he just needs a break. Haven 't we all been there (hello, Nutella). I went all in on the carnitas (fried pork) quesadilla. It was so great. It was huge and so filling. It had so much meat and just the perfect amount of cheese. It was served piping hot and was fantastically flavorful all around. I loved their little salsas and pickled veggies on the side as it was a nice contrast to the 'dilla. My dining partner got 3 tacos. Though they were all lovely we both agreed we liked the carnitas the best. These little street tacos were packed with meat, onions and cilantro and were great little vessels for that yummy salsa. Cheap tasty eats. We 'll be back. Cash only. February 2020
Popular authentic Mexican truck open late on the weekends. It's popular because they are cooking meats right! Tacos are small but packed with juicy flavor. Al pastor is my favorite here with tender, juicy pork in a lovely spicy marinade, but almost no heat. I prefer this so I can control my heat level with salsa. Pollo (chicken) was also tender and delicious, dripping juices from a similar marinade. Their carne asada is one of the tastiest around, beefy and seasoned right, each chunk kissed with just enough oil and char to remain very tender. Carnitas was also right on, perfect crispy edged pulled porkiness. I took off one star for a few reasons. First, tortilas are a little chewy, not fresh. Also these tacos are small, cost $1.25-1.75. My hubby complained he needed too many to get full. I asked for extra onion and cilantro but instead received less than average. And only 1 lime wedge was included per box of tacos. Next, their two salsas taste boring and processed. And last, accommodations lack, making this a takeout only spot. Picnic table out front is old and kinda nasty, parking lot a dust bowl. The night club that shares the space is sketchy. But in a neighborhood crowded with taquerias, this is the place to go for flavor.
If you want good tacos, this is the place! My boyfriend and I love this as a date night! Pick up tacos and go over to Wheeler park for an affordable outdoor night!
Honestly some of the greatest tacos I've had in my life. Unfortunately I can only attest to the chicken tacos as that's all I can eat. The red salsa is spicy and authentic with a unique flavor.
