This place is great! I really enjoy the marshmallow treats and the latte. Whenever I visit from Dallas, I always make sure to stop by 8th Street.

The staff is incredibly friendly, and you'll find some of the most exquisite coffee creations here.

Prelude is nothing short of phenomenal. In OKC for a work trip and I always try to seek out the best coffee roasters in the city. I asked for my latte to be remade as the espresso was slightly under-extracted to me. They had just opened so it was possible they weren't fully dialed in yet. Abby, the barista, happily remade my latte and the difference was night and day. It was spot on the second time around. She also recommended several outstanding restaurants in the area for me to try during my trip. If you're looking for top-notch espresso, you won’t be disappointed. However, note that there are few outlets available if you're planning to work here for an extended period of time. I would've taken a second latte to go but I wanted to try other places during my short time in OKC.

I can't say enough great things about this coffee shop. It's amazing how a place with such excellent coffee can also evoke such a sense of calm. Located upstairs in a trendy industrial building, with a train passing by the window, I felt a warm welcome the moment I stepped inside. The barista that day, who I believe is also the owner, made fantastic recommendations for pastries and we had fascinating conversations about the local coffee scene, the items for sale in her shop, and her personal experiences. The coffee itself was nuanced and well-balanced. Although it may seem trivial, the locally handcrafted mugs they used were the perfect size and weight, which greatly enhanced my experience. Since we were visiting from out of town, I'm truly disappointed that I won’t be able to return whenever I please.

We signed up for their coffee club and of the six bags we received we have only received three different kinds of coffee, we received the same roast three times! Is it that hard to create a sampling system where the customer actually gets different samples?! When we tried to cancel we were forced into another delivery, even after calling and emailing our displeasure. Finally, of the three kinds we have received, none of them are drinkable! Stick to Black Rifle if you want drinkable coffee and good service
