We've driven by Pearl's over and over, and decided to try out their Sunday Brunch. The restaurant was packed! There was a decent wait time, but it went by fast. The restaurant decor and atmosphere is very family friendly, but fancy and classic enough as 'date night material.' The choices on their menu are rather decadent, but that is to be expected for a Sunday Brunch, right? While I am fully aware that this is an "Oyster Bar" and is bound to serve seafood, I was pleasantly happy at their wide range of brunch dishes that revolved around seafood ingredients because not many brunch places in Oklahoma City serve a lot of seafood, even if a restaurant is based in such. My husband and I ordered drinks, oysters, Crab Benedict, and a Seafood Dish. For the life of me, I cannot remember the dishes' names, but Crab Cake Benedict plate was my favorite and trumped everything else in flavor; when it first came out, the crab cake was dry and hard. We let our waiter know, and they immediately fried up some new crab cakes, and in the second time around, the crab was appropriately cooked where you it flakes nicely, is not dry, and is full of fresh crab flavor. The oysters were good, but they should be fresher, and the seafood dish tasted more like white sauce and cheese, despite the larger chunks of shrimp and other seafood in it. Their drink concoctions are expensive, but are delicious. While I enjoyed Sunday Brunch at Pearl's and appreciate their friendliness, I felt that the seafood could have been fresher and the prices were pretty high. We will definitely only be coming here every once in awhile!
