N D Foods - Oklahoma City

I haven't visited End the Foods in years, but since I was in the neighborhood, my friend and I decided to stop by for lunch. They've added an antique store that connects to the restaurant, which has made the dining area feel cluttered and dreary—definitely not the inviting atmosphere you'd expect from a restaurant. I ordered the pastrami on rye, while my friend chose the chicken salad on a croissant. She enjoyed her chicken salad, but my pastrami had a good flavor; unfortunately, it was cut against the grain, making it tough and chewy. Overall, it was a very disappointing and unappetizing experience for me.

I absolutely loved the food, and the desserts were incredible! We dined in at this charming little shop that has so much character. I really enjoy supporting local businesses, and I will definitely be back to eat there again.

I rarely give such a low rating, but the food here was truly disappointing. While waiting for my Cuban sandwich, I could hear the microwave running for quite a while, and I hoped it wasn’t for my order—unfortunately, it was. The meat on my Cuban tasted as if it were nearly freezer-burnt; the microwave was clearly used to thaw the meat since there were no other customers there at the time. Honestly, the meat tasted off, and I had to spit it out after my first bite. To make things worse, instead of using roasted pork, they used the same shredded BBQ found on their pork sandwich. I was raised to never waste food, but I had no choice but to throw this out.
