The building interior has aged and definitely seen better days. However, I am a bit more interested in great food than dazzling seating. Sodas are served by the can and water by the bottle. Plating is Styrofoam with plastic utensils. Drinks are in the original cans/bottles. Ordered the Chicken Tika Kabob which came with rice. Also ordered the Vegetable Korma and the must-have Naan as well. A word about spicing. This is not the usual wimpy scale. The Vegetable Korma was ordered mild. It seemed quite tasty and probably would pass as medium most places in America. The Chicken Tika Kabob, actually cooked in a Tandor, was ordered medium. My god - it was both spicy hot and incredibly tasty. Even the onions and peppers acquired great flavoring. If you really want to order hot, good luck. It will likely be great eating! Bottom line is the food tastes great but everything else is not up to the same level. Probably a 4.0+ on food and a 2.5 or so on everything else. One last thing - your clothes will acquire the aromas so dress wisely.

As a general rule I do not write bad reviews. Perhaps a place was having a bad day and I do not want to judge it unfairly based on a single experience. In such a case I simply do not write a review. But because of extraordinary circumstances I feel the need to make an exception here. First, I must say that I like Indian food. And the food here was good--not the best I have had in OKC but not bad. Beyond that it is an entirely different story. We walked in on a Friday evening and there was a group of young men sitting at a table chatting, apparently waiting for a pickup order. At another table another young man was was busy on his smart phone. At a third table dirty dishes sat unattended. There were no other customers. A woman came out of the kitchen and waved us toward a table. Around 10 minutes later she brought us each a bottle of Nestle bottled water and one very tattered menu covered in cracked plastic. Not a word was spoken. After another 15 minutes or so she came back to take our order. We ordered two appetizers and the main course. She told us that they did not have several items on the menu so we ordered accordingly. Without a smile she took the menu and left. We sat and waited. A young family came in, looked around and immediately left--the atmosphere is not welcoming. The group of young men still waited. They waited more than an hour for their order. Then another young man came in to pick up a take out order. He sat and waited. After around 20 minutes he walked to the checkout counter seeming very uneasy. The young man on the smart phone walked over and greeted him and told him his order would be just a few minutes. We continued to wait. And wait. After the group left with their order the only sound in the place was the sound of a television in the main dining area tuned to Christian programming and the telephone ringing but not being answered. We were getting the feeling that we had wandered into the Twilight Zone. Around 20 minutes after we placed our order the first appetizer was brought wordlessly along with two styrofoam picnic plates and plastic tableware. No napkins. We spotted a nearly empty paper napkin package near the cash register and got our own. We continued to wait. After another 45 minutes or more the main course arrived, again without a word. No offer was made to bring more water so we had to ration the bottled water as we ate. We heard loud shouting and arguing from the kitchen that went on for several minutes. The woman who served us did not come by the table to see if we needed anything or to ask how we liked the food. Another family came in and sat at a table. The woman from the kitchen brought them each two bottles of water--I guess she thought they looked thirstier than we did. We finished our meal and went to the checkout counter and waited. Looking around we could see that mice had chewed on the base board throughout the restaurant. Wood dust was evident on the carpet at each place the wood had been chewed, indicating that the damage was either recent or that the floor had not been vacuumed in quite some time. That was just one indication of how poorly maintained this restaurant is. We continued to wait. After around 15 minutes we were able to get the attention of the woman in the kitchen. She came out and, without a word, rang up our meal. We said thanks and she responded with a curt thanks and we left. As we left we saw the table with dirty dishes from when we arrived nearly two hours earlier still sat uncleaned. I do not mind a place with simple decor and I do not expect to be waited on hand and foot but this entire experience was shocking and appalling. I would not have felt less welcome if a huge "GO AWAY" sign had greeted us at the door. And how this place passes health inspections is incomprehensible to me. The 2 star rating is only given because 1 star ratings are usually banned. Again, I do not like to write bad reviews. This is the first one I have ever written and I hope it will be the last. But for the general safety and well being of potential customers I regrettably felt the need to write this.
