Ojai Deer Lodge

We had absolutely amazing service from the bartender. She was nice and very happy. I pulled a pig sandwich. I must say it was amazing. Also, have to try their Mac and cheese, it is on a different level. I would definitely recommend that everyone plans to drive the 33, as my father said earlier, must fill out every tank before you hit the road.

Took our friend Yolanda there for lunch. She loved the chicken sandwich. My friend had mac and cheese his girl had the ribs and I had the chili. All really good

My friend and I were on our way to Ventura via Ojai from Bakersfield. We smelled Ojai Deer Lodge before we saw the place off of 33. The aroma of the smoked meats enamored us immediately and had to stop. We both got the special of the day which was the Breakfast Sandwich and split an order of the Bacon mac and cheese!The sandwich was wonderful with the egg yolk still runny and the Habanero aioli really brought the plate to life. Can't do this review without giving kudos and props to our server Susan. She was so delightful, authentic and on top of everything! Thank you Susan for the great service and friendly attitude that made our trip so much better! Will be coming back again for sure!

This place gets 5 stars simply because I love riding my Harley here with friends. The food is pretty good. Drinks are solid.. staff is down to earth. Good vibe settled in the hills. Makes you just want to come sit to eat, have a drink and relax. Don't dress up tho... it's a little dusty being right next to a road lol. But still.... a place I would repeat visiting

My colleague and I had a lunch break during our Ojai Valley Inn conference and one of them recommended us to go to Ojai Deer Lodge for lunch. It was an excellent proposal. The lodge is located directly on a main road with parking in front. There was a beautiful courtyard with outdoor seating and ample seating in the rustic lodge. We decided to sit outside and enjoy the sun and fresh air. I would recommend that. The menu selection of foods was very diverse at very reasonable prices. I ordered the wild salmon on wild rice with asparagus. The part was very good size and the price- only $26. Overall, I would definitely recommend to stop and check the lodge. Although we didn't eat inside, I got a short tour. There was a small music stage, amazing decoration of big devotees chandeliers and a bar with a wide range of spirits. I'd say it'd be fun to come here in the evening. So, come see this house!
