Pretty good. Has an all you can eat taco bar for about $15. Atmosphere is nice as well. Looks like it has a stage for bands to play and a bar. I went for lunch so neither were in use.
The chips and salsa, as well as our burrito and tacos, were delicious and full of flavor. However, the side dishes like beans, rice, and salad were not very generous in size and lacked in taste. Despite the excellent main dishes, I only rated this restaurant 3 stars instead of 5 due to the service. Although we were promptly served water at the beginning, we had to wait about 15 minutes before flagging down another waitress because our assigned waiter was nowhere to be found. She promised to locate him for us, but it took an additional 10 minutes before another waiter took our order. Our original waiter eventually returned to our table, but we informed him that we had already placed our order. While our chips and salsa were refilled, our drinks remained empty and it took a long time to receive our check and retrieve our card. Overall, the food was enjoyable and we would like to give this restaurant another try, but the service was disappointingly slow. The tables next to us were promptly attended to while we had to seek out multiple waiters before our order was finally taken.
My colleagues and I had a pleasant business lunch at El Paisa. One of us ordered the Taco Bar, which was generous and diverse, while the other two of us shared the Molcajete Suprema. This was a bit of a mistake as it could easily feed 3-4 people with some extra tortillas. The food was delicious, especially the bark, but all the other meats were also excellent. The service was exceptional during our visit, with the manager, Luis Nunez, being a very friendly and welcoming guy who personally greeted us.
The dining experience was decent, but did not meet the high expectations I had for a seemingly upscale restaurant. My wife's chicken taco salad had tough, dry meat and stale taco shells. My chimichanga was tasty. The music was excessively loud, making it difficult to have a conversation with my wife, and we both left with headaches. Overall, we were not impressed and do not plan to return.
