Most of us ordered the from the sushi buffet and my daughter and son got the Chicken Yaki soba and chicken fried rice, which both tasted great. The selection for the all you can eat was decent with plenty of different rolls to choose from. The Saint Louis and Sapporo rolls were awesome. Will definitely be back.
The sushi is good, not great, but it is what you would expect for AYCE at this price. My wife and I ordered 66 pieces of sushi, which was way too much. Maybe 15 for her and 25-30 for me, for a total of 45 would have been better. You should order all your sushi at once. If you try to just do a few rolls at a time, by the time you get the next round your not hungry anymore….
All you can eat sushi was so delicious. Our family had 17 rolls all in all. You just can't beat the price for an all you can eat, you get a soup and/or salad, and an appetizer and as many rolls that you can eat for $20, you pay for any left overs... Staff was polite and courteous, also dealt with the babies and children very well. Great experience. We will be back!
Not authentic Japanese food but maybe you will enjoy it if you go in knowing that. Tonkatsu was thin, miso soup was watered down, and gyoza was just okay. Salad was just lettuce and tomatoes tips. I would recommend skipping this location. That said I didn't try the sushi but if you can't do miso soup right, I don't hold much hope for the sushi.
We frequent Sushi Ai but this is the last time we dine at the deer creek location on K in O'Fallon. The quality is okay but it used to be great. Lastly, over the last 3 or 4 years it's dropped drastically. Our child had always ordered his own food off the menu and then tried different pieces of sushi my wife and I order from the all-you-can-eat menu. This time the waitress was rude about him having anything. We are talking maybe 3 pieces of sushi and a couple bites of soup or salad. We aren't naive, we understand how the all-you-can-eat works but it's a small child.
