China Town Express - O'Fallon

Yummy. I always use the drive thru here and have never been inside. The crab rangoon here are not a pure ball of sugar like you get at most places.. I am a huge fan of the non sweet crab rangoons so this is definetly the place for me..the rice is brown in color not that freakishly yellow that you find at most places..the rice is very yummy but it is just rice and egg I wish they would add some onions, peas, bean sprouts ect but they do not...I thought maybe the rice would have veggies in it if I ordered shrimp fried rice but no just rice shrimp and egg...most places have nasty shrimp that are over cooked, chewy and have the poop trail still in but this place has the BEST shrimp I have ever had from a chinese place NO poop trail and cooked to profection melt in your mouth yummyness! The hot braised chicken is also yummy, a little thinner sauce than most places which i like because most places it is so sticky it seems like I am eating glue. The staff is very friendly and service is fast.

I just moved to O 'fallon/St. Peters area and have been really disappointed with the Chinese takeouts around town until I found this one. The food here really is great, probably better than my 'old ' Chinese restaurant, the one I went to before I moved. Everything on the menu is top notch. You get all white meat chicken, the beef is not fatty, and fried rice is excellent. Items that are breaded, such as hot braised chicken, are great too. The breading doesn 't take over the meat. The crab ragoons are high quality, but a bit too much cream cheese filling for me, I 'm not complaining though because I 've been getting egg rolls. They also have a drive through and every time I 've went (so far there has been very little wait. I don 't think they take American Express because someone wrote 'NO NO ' on the sticker that 's by the drive through window. I 'm definitely going to keep going back, this is my 'NEW ' Chinese restaurant.

Not the best chinese food I've ever had, but, it's pretty good. Especially for the price, and amount you get for that price. People are very nice too.

Best hot-braised in O' Fallon by far.
