The place doesn 't promise a lot but it was fool of locals which I consider a good sign. We got a friendly welcome and the starters come right away (it may seem strange but it 's quite customary in Portuguese restaurants to bring starters to your table and you pay only the ones you eat . There were several small things (olives, cheese, tune pate, etc. but the best was a sea food pate they are making right there. For the seconds we asked for advices and the very friendly waiter invited me to chose from an impressive collection of fresh fish the fishes we wanted cooked for us. I picked a choco fish and they prepared with baked potatoes and vegetables delicious. The white wine recommended by the same waiter went heavenly with the fish. The price was more than right for a fantastic dinner. In the end, they even offered the wine for free. I would gladly eat again here.
I recommend this typical Portuguese dish. It is served only on sundays. Reservations until friday is necessary as the restaurant is relatively small and the Cozido ingredients are bought to orders
The best Cataplana I have tasted. The seafood Cataplana was simply marvellous with chunks of lobster meat and big prawns. The polvo or grilled Octopus was heavenly and tender.Service was friendly though their English was limited but the English menu was helpful enough. Would recommend this place to anyone who happens to be around Oeiras.
Had some good fish (bream) The idea to serve starters without ordering was a bit odd at first. But when it's on the table you enjoy it.
Good value for good value. Nice staff. There was a smell of waste coming from the bathrooms in the entire dining room, which is obviously not good. We had Açorda and Polvo, both were good
