The Sunset is a very popular breakfast place, but should not be overlooked for dinner. The chef puts out a creative, thoughtful meal. The menu is always complemented by an impressive selection of dinner specialities. Its kind of place that must survive and live in a landscape of fast food and chain restaurants. Long live this iconic Jersey Diner.
Just visited here for the first time. I got the hungry man meal and my wife got the Greek healthy breakfast wrap, no wrap. Staff was friendly and attentive (my coffee cup was filled 5 times in the 45 minutes we were there). Food was delicious and portions were well worth the prices. Absolutely will be back to try some more of their extensive menu. If you are thinking about going..... Go. You will not be disappointed.
Great spot for some hearty down home cooking! Sharon was our server and she was great! The food was omg smacking your lips and nobody taking at the table good! I ordered the “Hungry Woman” but I didn’t know that it would come out so...so...BIG! I had another full meal left over to pack up and take with me...I’m a huge fan of Mom&Pop style diners and dives so I loved it here. Found a go to spot for breakfast whenever my Husband and I are in Jersey.
Like eggs, this is the place. Very nice diner and friendly staff.
