Marias Pizzeria - Ocean Isle Beach

Calamari was ordered as appetizer. We got it just as we were leaving. Pizza for 2 people came out 30 minutes before the rest of the food. Reservation was at 6:45. Seated immediately but didn’t leave until 8:30. Food service was extremely slow.

The eggplant Parm special was very good because it was a nice sized portion and not a greasy fried eggplant. The calzone I was also very good with lots of vegetables. Our server was very attentive although it was a busy Saturday night. Everyone very friendly and we are so happy Maria’s is very close to our house now We requested cannolis when we made our reservation since we were celebrating a birthday and they were delivered as we’d asked!

Excellent service and overall experience. Pizza has made a 360° since the visit of Koch from Italy. Honestly, our pizza was the best we cost in NORTH CAROLINA over the past 20 years. Cold Tuna appetizer was like food in northern Italy lakes region. Pasta dishes both delicious. Congratulations that it is now about maintaining such quality.

Never was recommended in this restaurant before friends and we met them there. Good food and good service, we got a small free appetizer on the house.
