Jilly's French Fry Factory - Ocean City

I just moved from California to Maryland and it was a point to go to the boardwalk as soon as I get here. I love coming here... I love it as a child, love it now with my family. Also a lot of fun low season and in summer. Very recommended!!!

We visited during the winter and it was lovely to enjoy a beach experience without the usual crowds. Unfortunately, most of the boardwalk shops were closed. I'm not sure if this was because of the time of year in December or related to COVID.

Comparing US cities with EU cities you will always miss the coziness of pedestrian malls in US cities. The boardwalk in Ocean City is a pleasant excemption. You can walk on it for about 2-3 miles without any car or motorcycle (just bicycles and scaters are allowed). You will find many different shops, restaurants and bars on the one side and an enjoyable view to the ocean on the other side. The USA need more of it!!!

Always enjoy myself on the boardwalk!! I've made several trips to O.C. Maryland in the past 40 years, but being able to come out in November of 2020 on a gorgeous day to rent/ride bike was definitely one of the highlights of this awful year. Nothing can cheer you up faster than sunny skies and Thrashers fries !! And I thought I'd be missing out this year! And free parking north of 9th street during these colder months (off season).

Fishers popcorn while still fresh and HOT. Need I say anymore?
