Golden Plate - Ocean City

The best gyros I've ever had on the East Coast! Every year, we return to Ocean City for the Fourth of July and visit Golden Plate daily. I absolutely love the food, and the owners are wonderful as well!

I make it a point to visit this spot every year when I'm in OC. While it's just a small food stand with offerings similar to other places on the boardwalk, they serve a truly delicious and authentic gyro, along with fast and friendly service. It's not a fine dining restaurant, but for boardwalk food, it's definitely one of my top choices.

Number one funnel cake in Ocean City. The flavor is great, they make them thicker than the others on the boardwalk, and they have the best price. Always a must when I visit the boardwalk!

My child insists that their churros are the best, and we ended up going back three times during our five-day stay in Orange County because of it. Each time, I tried the funnel cake, and it was delicious! The portions are quite large, though, and I could never finish mine. I wish they offered smaller sizes.

Golden Plate is great place in the Ocean City. They are best! You have to try Gyro and lemonate!
