A hint of children's dishes - my children only order Mac and cheese, and the Mac and cheese they serve children seems like strength Mac and cheese. What is good because they actually eat it, but also feels like a bit of a break for the cost of a child's meal. That means great place, good food. Even with 4 children inflating the bill; will we be back in town next time?
Arrived at opening for lunch with no waiting, we were seated right away. Service was ok and food was ok with nothing over the top. There is an outdoor playground and lots of tv's throughout the restaurant. Priced around where a beach restaurant would be. Pirate themed with an ok selection of food. If there was no playground it's at best a 3 star.
We had a large group which was probably why it took too long for our food. The portions were small and very expensive. The waitress barely came over to see us and The food was soagie and not very appetizing except the soup which was good. When we asked for the waitress to separate the check she didn't and gave us a large check for 11 people 4 which were kids.
Long wait. Over an hour. My first choice for an entree was not available. The server came back and asked for my alternate menu choice. Got a crab and shrimp wrap which was still good. Pasta salad was yummy too. Orange crushes were excellent. Extremely long wait at the bar while waiting for our table. Cute decorations and ambiance.
Dead Freddies is a name known up and down Coastal Hwy, and a must visit when you?re in town. The accommodations they offer work for all walks of life, whether you?re a family with kids of any age, a couple looking for drinks, or young single and ready to mingle. The staff is always beyond friendly, helpful, polite, and obliging. We were lucky enough to work with Demarco this time, and he took care of us. One of his best tips was when my son (3yo) wanted a shark attack, he took the time to explain how the drink is set up so he didn?t make a mess with the grenadine. My go to meal every time is the blackened tuna steak, served over the can?t miss wasabi mashed potatoes. Do yourself a favor, and make sure to put Dead Feddie?s on your must go list, no matter what brought you to OCMD in the first place.
