Unbelievable what makes christa an early piece, so everything on the table. the respect deserves and 1 melin star.

No fast-food! This is a place to relax and enjoy the meal. The food served is traditional and simply splendid!

If you aren't able to stay at the Gasthaus Stahl, then you at least need to visit for dinner. The chef is masterfully trained and delivers unbelievably fresh, tasty and authentic German food. They have their own farm and many of the dishes are 100% home grown via their own produce and livestock. The prices are extremely reasonable and the service impeccable yet still friendly. Since the village is a trek up a large hill from the Rhine, I would recommend driving or grabbing a taxi. We've eaten at many fancy and Michelin rated restaurants, but there is something about having an excellent meal without pretentiousness and at an extremely reasonable price. Go visit and try it--you'll want to return!

We ate here while we were staying at the Gastehaus Weingut Stahl. We had a large party of 9 people, multi-generational. This family-run restaurant has delicious food. We ate on the outdoor patio- a perfect place to while away a summer evening. For non-drinkers, they had a house-made grape juice (from the grapes of their vineyard) that was to die for.

Stahl prides themselves on being a family-run establishment with locally-sourced meat and game. Both of these aspects were impressive and worth the three-star rating the hotel and restaurant have earned. The food was fantastic! The crowd seemed to be both travelers and locals, and the service was great.
