Das erste Mal in einem mit einem Stern ausgezeichneten Restaurant in Deutschland, und alles hat gestimmt. Die Küche ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben, das Ambiente ist gemütlich, der Service entspannt und souverän. Man hat das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein und echte Gastfreundschaft zu erleben. Anderswo, bei „Fernsehköchen“, haben wir das schon ganz anders erfahren. Ein tolles Erlebnis, sehr empfehlenswert. Service: Vor Ort essen.

Das Essen, der Service und die Zimmer sind fabelhaft. Das Ambiente ist nicht modern, sondern eher konservativ-rustikal, was jedoch nicht negativ ist, sondern sehr zum positiven Gesamteindruck beiträgt. Die Preise sind angemessen und alles ist seinen Preis wert! Die Weine des Hauses sind grandios! Essen: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphäre: 5

Our second time in this famous German restaurant which was opened over 50 years ago, when fine, french cuisine was available only west of the rhine river.Service was very nice, and especially the care for the wine was extraordinary, every glas was avinated and the brought in a little case.We had some interesting seafood carpaccio (ceviche) and as a main we shared "La Poularde truffée dans la vessie farcie". Truffled Chicken prepared in a pigs bladder, quite spectecular preparation which you can not find that often anymore. Overall it was almost to much for two of us (next time take the kids ;-)) and the truffles were not really in season right now (we could have known...). The food was good, nothing more and nothing less.About the wine list, nothing needs to be said, it's online just check it out. I don't think there is a single place on earth (hmm.. maybe some places around San Sebastian) where you have this incredible depth off aged clarets and burgundies combined with an almost insane pricing. Bottles are mainly way beyond market price and are only for consumption in the restaurant (sorry to all those speculators selling bottles to multi millionaires abroad). For all serious wine lovers a pilgrimage to Schwarzer Adler is a must once in a while. Best you team up, so you can try more :-)

Superb gourmet restaurant with great wines and excellent service. If you love wines you will be impressed by the wine menu card, e.g. a couple of Romanee Conti for reasonable prices.
