We ended our Sunday in this place, We ordered a Pozole and Tacos al Pastor. Both made it so good that we decided to repeat our orders. Very cheap and authentic place!
We often came here for the delicious and authentic food. Service was friendly, like the other males, and we enjoyed the variety of Salsas.
The owner of our B&B directed us here one cool, rainy night when we were craving basic, plain old tacos and tortas in a laidback neighborhood setting. And he was right. The tacos here are good a little greasy perhaps, but good. But the...knockout is the posole possibly one of the best soups we had during our 12 day stay in Oaxaca (and this includes the squash blossom soup we had at La Olla and the wild mushroom soup we had at La Biznaga). This posole is packed with flavor and servings are HUGE two people could easily share one bowl. For tacos and tortas, you could probably do just as well at any number of other restaurants and street stands throughout town. For posole, however, this is definitely one of the best.
I stopped in here on a cold evening, feeling like I was getting the flu. I ordered the chicken pozole. It was hot, fresh, and a generous portion. Atmosphere is kind of like a fast food restaurant, and everyone is very friendly. I didn't see...any other gringos. I think that pozole warmed me up and worked like chicken soup to keep me going! Yummm.
