We had dinner in cobalito at our first night (we arrived quite late and that was the first restaurant we saw was still open). the menu is not very large and is quite simple. my friend ordered a burger who was apparently the best burger he had ever had in his life. I ordered tlayudas and they were delicious. in addition there is a cozy garden and the waitress was very nice.

I've been past this place for a long time and finally took the dive to try it out. I bought what they claimed to be apfelstrudel. wait for so long and finally try to get the place off what a drop. that was baked. no folded type, what-so-ever. it was nothing but a bad attempt to leave what they thought was apfelstrudel. it's obvious they never had the right thing. the teig was a tasteless yeasty, where the apples were placed to replicate a piece of strudel, that's all. it is not worth going back.

I like to travel and try local food, go around asking where as a local I would go and enjoy some typical food of the region. This is how I ended up having a great breakfast. The place is definitely a good sight, but the...food is extraordinary. Price wise does not make sense for us since we come from Europe, and a coffee and a croissant in Barcelona equals an outstanding breakfast. We are coming before we leave Oaxaca for dinner, since the service, the food and the atmosphere makes it a great choice for us to leave magical Oaxaca.

We went for dinner which was by the way delicious. While waiting, we asked about their chocolates. They offered a large variety with multiple local flavors. We got to taste everything. My favorites were arándano y nuez and chia y limón. We also tried some...spicy ones with chile and peppers.

Beautiful, colorful, tasteful place in the emblematic Alcalá street. Best for breakfast in downtown. Ask for the enfrijoladas and try one of the 12 kind of chocolate either with water or milk. Chilaquiles and milk shake are also awesome. Bread -croissant, conchas, etc- are wonderful...too. Quite recommendable !!
