Aqua World Ibaraki Oarai Aquarium

Convenience to buy ticket at front of the aquarium. Show is so good. Overall is perfect for family trip or those who loves aquarium. There is cafe which can have lunch inside and front of the aquarium.

I went on a regular weekday during the summer holiday season, and while there was no wait to get in, the parking lot was quite full and there were small screaming children and families EVERYWHERE. I cannot imagine coming here on a weekend or a holiday, it must be so insanely crowded. Anyway, as someone who likes looking at fish and sharks, it was nice, but the sea parks are animal cruelty!! side of me was really saddened by how small some of the exhibits are. The seals are swimming in endless circles in what is basically a deep children 's swimming pool... So are most of the sharks. Lots of them crammed into a relatively small tank where they 're all either resting bunched up together or swimming in circles. And there is nothing in their tanks for enrichment of any kind, aside from animals like the otters.

This place is so amazing. It is located at the seaside of Oarai so you can see a very new view of the ocean. We arrived there from 10am and we were able to explore the whole place. The dolphin shows are great. They also have a big food court and nice cafe. I wanna go back here.

Great experience! The aquarium is clean and well built. So many areas with awesome fish and sea creatures. Note : There are special experience tour each day: Aquarium back tour, Meet with Dolphin, Meet with Seal, Talk with Dolphin, Meet with shark. These are limited in numbers each day during about lunch time. Be sure to check out if you are interested (you must buy the tickets at the entrance)

Aqua world Ibaraki Oarai Aquarium is quite small, the main attraction is the seal show and the dolphin show. It’s one of the attractions in Oarai near the beach. A beautiful view of the beach can be enjoyed. The souvenir shop has a great collection of wide range of items for kids and aquatic enthusiasts. Giant sharks, awesome jellyfish, various varieties of fishes and many more to see. Maximum 1.5 hrs of time could be spent including the 30 minutes dolphins show.
