I love the flavor of the skin on the rotisserie chicken and I love dipping sauce for the fries and chicken. I hasn't changed much in the last 40 years other than the portion size seems to get smaller and smaller and the price keeps rising and you now have to pay extra for the white meat only.
Swiss Chalet is a good restaurant with tons of good choices. You can pick it up or you can eat there. It can be a bit noisy in the restaurant. If you are picking up.. I would suggest the family dinner if you are with family. If you are dining in the restaurant, I would suggest the chicken , really good with great rice
The term "third time lucky" does not apply with this place as this is the third visit with terrible service from staff who obviously do not care. You walk in the front door ( the place his half empty) and you wait 8 minutes while the staff are pre-occupied "bussing" tables. Unfortunately the Swiss Chalet uses servers as order takers, order deliverers, money collectors and clean up staff. It is a system that results in long waits, botched orders and being orphaned waiting for the check. Their prices haven risen dramatically in recent years however the business model is classic "food court eatery". Advice: get the take out and go home!
First time at this location. We went to the location at Cross but they ran out of chicken...not sure how that is possible ocnsidering they special in chicken. So came to this location. Wasn't busy and a bit of a wait to get the food, but all was good. The chicken breast seemed smalled than what we usually get, actually quite a bit smaller. For once the fries weren't soggy. Overall a good experience and as always good food and they got the order right, which isn't always the case when going to other swiss Chalets.
Swiss Chalet has really expanded their menu. Now includes roast belief, fish and chips in addition to usual chicken choices. Two of us tried the two kinds of roast beef. Was pretty good although portions were not large. Other adult had regular chicken fare which is hard to go wrong with. Kids menu is good as well. Wait staff was very friendly but service quite slow. Had to remind manager about one missing dinner which had been sent back as not gluten-free as requested. Overall, a good dinner but getting pricey. One other comment - booths are very small in this location.
