Shakers Smokehouse - Oakville

I like this place eating is decent that they will be happy with him because they feel full of not much to complain. the staff at any time, I was somehow a clean one done a good work. Thank you. their services

During our most recent visit to this establishment, we were informed that there had been a change in management and the restaurant would now operate as a traditional pub. Upon returning, we noticed that the smoker and other BBQ equipment, as well as most of the gaming areas, had been removed. The seating and decor had also been changed, and a completely new menu was now being offered. The establishment is now known as Kerr Street Pub Grill. I have requested TripAdvisor to create a listing for this new establishment, and once it is approved, I will be sure to provide a review.

I have been a customer of this restaurant for several years, despite its various name changes. I was not a fan of Shaker's Smokehouse due to its expensive prices and mediocre food. However, when a friend and I visited recently, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant was under new ownership. The new location had only been open for a month and had just introduced a new menu. We were impressed by the extensive menu options and reasonable prices. Our server, who we recognized from a previous visit, greeted us warmly and efficiently took our drink and food orders. My friend ordered the nachos, which were generously portioned and served with fresh guacamole and salsa. The chips were plentiful and the toppings were delicious. I opted for the Reuben sandwich and clam chowder, both of which were tasty and satisfying. A cold beer complemented our meal perfectly. My only complaint is the country music playing, but that is just a personal preference. I look forward to trying other items on the menu and will definitely be returning in the future.

My partner and I visited our usual dinner spot tonight, only to find out that they will be ditching their BBQ menu and becoming just another pub in the coming week. It was disappointing to hear that their magnificent and expensive smoker will be sent to another location, leaving Oakville without good smoked meat once again since Val Belcher closed a few years ago. Despite this, the brisket and ribs we ordered were still succulent and delicious, and the sides were tasty and plentiful. The only downside was the lack of diversity in the menu, which may signal the end of this type of dining experience. This restaurant was unique and conveniently located in Halton and Mississauga. Our bill came to $72, including a large wine and two pints of Creemore, before tipping.

A decent find in the Oakville area to satisfy your barbecue needs. Shaker's Smokehouse is not in the best of locations so it is easy to miss. However the food is decent. The service is mediocre and the price points are decent. The restaurant itself...looks a little dated and is crammed however considering we were there for a baseball tournament banquet it's suited all of our needs. The pulled chicken and brisket was quite nice. The pulled pork could have benefited from from some additional spices though covering it in the restaurants signature sauces gave it some zing. In short a decent restaurant for what you pay and for a quick night out amongst friends.
