Yes, I said Indian food in s pub. It's like being in England. The rock music is great and the atmosphere is friend. The decor is a real Irish pub... yes I have been to Ireland to authenticate this statement. This is a must try if you come to the Halton area.
I have dined there in the past, a few years ago, and quite enjoyed it. Was there with 3 other ladies to eat before seeing "Oliver" at theatre. Waitress brought water for 3 out of 4 of us, did not bring a beer glass for one person so she drank her beer from bottle. Two of us had the Cobb salad, one came with blue cheese, mine with goat cheese - so they must have run out of something. We both mentioned that there were no eggs in the salad, as per menu, and received a shrug from the waitress. Ordered coffee after - which comes in a French Press to table - it was no better than hot water - sent it back & ordered a replacement - which was not much better. The location is great, but it was disappointing overall.
We love taking our kid here because the staff always go out of the way to pay attention to her. And we love going at happy hour. You get good food at great prices!
Had dinner here last week and was sadly very disappointed not only by the food but by how much the present owners have let this place slide. We have been going here since it first opened but have moved away so have not visited for about 18 months. Previously the food, beer and service as well as the decor was exceptional. The French Onion soup was the best I have ever tasted - alas it is now watered down and without the depth of flavour. The served food lacks love from the kitchen but if the management wont spend money on ingredients what can you expect. My lady had the goat cheese and prosciutto starter which was served with cold hard bread and dated prosciutto. The service was excellent but the place is now worn and shows signs that the present owners do not wish to spend money on upkeep (see photos!). I was genuinely disappointed in what this great bar has been allowed to slide to. Owners - spend the extra and get this back to what it was - the best in Oakville.
Taste of Oakville happens when many restaurants here offer a prix fixe meal in the slow months after Christmas. Restaurants offer special meals in order to get new customers in to taste and then will want to return.O'Finn's missed the mark.Salad and beef soup to start was not bad however, then came the main courses.Seafood Jumbalaya (sic) was a sticky mass of tomato rice containing some shrimps. I could not finish it.Chicken schnitzel was covered with a yellowish substance. The menu said it was accompanied with crispy fries. Well, the chips were limp - very limp. This also was not finished. We declined dessert and left.Of course we shall never return if this meal was to be the temptation for a customer to return. The beer was the regular nondescript stuff from Labatt, Molson and a few ghastly imports. What a sad place this was.
