Lone Star - Oakville

The tortilla chips! So fresh and not too salty. The salsa is great that goes with it. We enjoy the chicken fajitas, always too much to eat. I sometimes get take out when friends come over for a change from pizza. I don't care for the rice or the peppers and onion mixture so they always throw in a few extra bags of chips that the kids take to school for a treat. Can get busy at peak times.

We like going to Lone Star restaurants and have visited this location several times. My wife really likes the Fajitas. This time the experience was awful. Our server was very bad. Rushed our order and it seemed like she was rushing to get us out of there. My wife doesn't like onions so she asked for just sliced mushrooms to come with the chicken. They've done this before with no problems. She even said please do not bring a delegate skillet. Dinner took forever to come also. Our server didn't really seem to care about us it seemed. There was another girl who brought our food. My wife even asked if we would be charged extra for the mushrooms as they did come in a separate skillet. Also the chicken didn't come sizzling. It was weird. I ordered songs and they were ok. My son just wanted fries and he shared one of my wife's fajitas. Our server was allusive and we had to ask the other girl to bring us extra plates and napkins. We usually get desert but his time we just wanted to leave. We asked for the bill and when it came we were astonished to see that the extra mushrooms were added to the bill. It wasn't an extra item either as it was just one amount for the fajitas. We spoke to the manager and he was good and said he'd discount the bill for us which he did. The server then came over and she took payment via a remote scanner. While she did so it was very awkward and clearly she wanted us out of there so she could move onto the next table. I doubt we will go back and she got zero tip.

I don't know what's going on here but our last few visits have not been good. Once seated in a booth in the bar area the table behind us was filled with staff fresh off their shift. Loud and obnoxious. Surprised the management allowed it. Last time, the food was not very good at all. Don't think we'll be back any time soon,

We liked the place service was prompt and food was good. typical fare. we will go back as a family. kids liked place

Yes, this restaurant is the top spot to dine in Oakville! While there may be some days when the food isn't exceptional, if you notify your server, they will gladly accommodate you.
