Cove Bar Oakville

The atmosphere at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was decent. The mussels and clam chowder were delicious, but the fish and chips were a bit too greasy.

The basil smash was great. Service was a bit slow even though it wasn't very busy. I ordered the chicken sandwich with the slaw and it was mediocre at best. Chicken was over fried and dried out. The mussels and the salmon have the exact same sauce on it as we ordered both and the shrimp cocktail had very small shrimp with the shells on still. Ambience and vibe was good. Would definitely recommend for an afternoon spot to have some beverages, but I'm not going particularly for the food.

I have visited The Cove frequently this summer. The patio is great for staying out of the sun while still enjoying the outdoors and water view. The food is delicious and the service has been outstanding. I highly recommend giving it a try. -Susan Jong

Nice spot for a patio and has a retractable roof for the rain. Good spot for drinks but would order food elsewhere. Wings and Chicken Sando was over cooked and had a dark crusty coating. This usually means the oil for frying hasn't been changed in a while. Poke bowl had the same hard crusty chicken pieces, plain rice and some old slaw mixed in, no sauce. This place has potential but they need to focus on the kitchen and food. Would not go back to eat.

We made the mistake of sitting indoors at the restaurant. The back room was very hot and stuffy, and we were the only ones sitting there. It would have been better to sit outside. The staff seemed more focused on serving the customers outside, so we didn't see them much. The calamari appetizer was good, but some of us were disappointed with the burgers. However, a few of us enjoyed the shrimp rolls. Overall, it was not a great dining experience.
