Butlers Reef Restaurant, Bar And Function Venue

I stopped by for a quick dinner while traveling to New Plymouth. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was excellent. I appreciated the option to order half-sized portions, and they even had my favorite dish, prawn twisters. It's definitely a worthwhile stop—hospitality as it should be!

The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and attentive service, along with beautifully presented food at reasonable prices. It felt warm and inviting, even on a chilly, rainy day. I would have given a higher rating if the seafood chowder hadn’t been so overly salty. However, the chicken wrap was excellent, and the fries were just right.

I've had Eggs Benedict in many cafes and restaurants around NZ over many years and Butlers hollandaise sauce was the best I've ever had. The staff were also friendly and welcoming and the place has a lovely atmosphere. I also appreciated that they do half portions as an older person I can't eat as much. However, the eggs Benedict were so good I wished I'd had the full portion. I will definitely go back for more.

Amazing service from both the lovely ladies on FOH today. Most impressed. Very professional, excellent communication in regards to wait times and availability of menu items. Kids enjoyed their food and so did we! Even pre-empted that we might need TA containers for the kids leftovers an came and asked if we would like? So impressed, haven't eaten out in Taranaki for a long time because of lack of faith in service at other joints. Ka Pai guys!

We had the $20.00 fish and chip's with a beautiful salad and complimentary glass of wine. Best value for money I've ever seen. The staff were friendly and efficient and a nice atmosphere..
