Mama Tigre - Oakton

This restaurant offers a delightful fusion of Mexican and Indian flavors. The menu features a mix of unique dishes and familiar favorites that will leave you wanting to return for more. The mole sauce is particularly outstanding and has been a long-sought favorite since the closure of Tequila Grande. It turns out, the owner and chef of this restaurant is the same as the former Tequila Grande, making this dining experience even more special.

I wish I could give Mama Tigre a higher rating. I was really looking forward to it. The ambience and presentation are fantastic. However, I was a bit disappointed with the food. I was expecting Mexican-Indian fusion, but it was mostly Mexican. I tried the tikka tacos, but they were too charred and almost burnt. The fajitas lacked flavor and the overall food was too heavy. Despite this, I will give it another try with a different menu selection. By the way, the salsa is unlike any other I have tried before - it is fresh and fabulous.

We were visiting family from out of town, and they decided to take us to this restaurant for dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant appeared busy, but our group of 4 was seated immediately. The food and drinks were both excellent. The combination of Mexican and Indian cuisine was a pleasant surprise. The masala sauce on the enchiladas was particularly tasty. The various tacos and masala fries were also delicious. We will definitely return to sample other dishes on the menu during our next visit.

The Indian curry base on any item on their menu is way superior than Indian restaurants around here. It hits all the right notes. The main course quantity is a little much if you order appetizers. So I would recommend sharing if you don't want to take to-go boxes.

Wow! This place was amazing. I have had plenty of latin-asian fusion but their food took it to a whole different level. Everything on the menu looked great but I had to try the items with the masala queso sauce and nothing disappointed. Their nachos and burritos were amazing, and every bite was mouth-watering with the smokey and savory queso sauce. All the other ingredients were fresh and delicious too. Can't wait to go back and try more items. Service was great and taste
