Split - Oakland

This place looks like it’s permanently closed. I live nearby and walk by everyday and the restaurant looks quite empty at this point. It was a good burger place but there are definitely other great contenders around the neighborhood. Split is a good place for lunch but not sure that I would want to hang out there even though they offer cocktails.

Broadway location is closed. They want me to add more words to tell you it is no longer open. So, hope you have a nice day and find a greta restaurant to eat at.

Overpriced. I write this review at 1pm, my food was supposed to be ready at 12:20. I'm not sure how it would take an extra 40 minutes to make my food, but the folks at Split pulled it off. I understand being busy and it was a larger order, but an extra 40 minutes to bring the accumulated wait time to 1hr 20min is beyond terrible. On top of that I get back with my order and they have gotten it wrong (not a surprise). An entire entree is wrong and instead of fries I got bristle sprouts. I didn't spend over $150 to have you give me Brussels sprouts instead of fries. Couldn't even be bothered to turn around and wait another hour. Will not order again.

So far only got to go coffee on two occasions. 1st time was great, fast, friendly and the coffee was acceptable. 2nd time we had to wait 5 minutes for anybody to appear. The coffee finished what was left in the carafe and tasted like it. I'll try again before 6:30 and reassess...

$16 for a salad with the driest, blandest roasted chicken I have ever had the displeasure of eating. Also, the menu outside said it $13.95. The dressing also lacks any flavor. Stop selling salads.
