I usually don't like fish, but they cook it with such a perfect mix of sweet, sour, salty and spicy. it is never too much of everything, but only the right amount of everything. the portion sizes are exactly right to have a starter of the main and desert. they are a small place that has a staff that is loyal, which is a good sign. they always seem to love the dishes because when they ask their mouth water! the service is wonderful! they are attentive, know when they fill their glass and when to pick up the plates. from outside it doesn't look like much, but the experience is like home with the family eating fresh seafoods on the coast of a small Italian village that they go through, but never want to go!
It's an Italian restaurant, for better and for worse. The food was good overall, wait staff were friendly and accommodating, and the decòr and abmbience were quite warming. The food service itself is interesting in that individual portions are fairly small you're really supposed to get a sampler/multicourse meal and share it family style. The menu was almost entirely Italian and not everything translates correctly, such as the diplomático dessert (a sponge cake if I recall correctly). And since this place was a full house tracking a staff down to explain the menu was a bit of a hassle, and the overall noise level made conversation difficult and became uncomfortable after a couple hours. My primi dish, fettuccine pancetta ragu, was fine, and I found the bread to be bland (no seasoning in either the bread nor oil), but I did sample other dishes that were quite impressive such as the sausage/fennel pizze and pesto pasta (off menu vegetarian option). And the gelato was the best I've ever had. I'd imagine the experience being much better with a familiarity with Italian language, and coming at a less popular hour.
It was OK ..however, pricey for the product my friend had the pizza and she did not like it the waiter was nice and comped.. the meal. I had the Cod sandwich it was tasty however the Cod was very small and it tasted more like a Cole slaw and dressing sandwhich..hardly any meat in the sandwich..
Everything was well-prepared and delicious. It's hard to pick a favorite, but the lasagna, sausage, and pizza were highlights. The desserts were also very good. And the prices were reasonable. I recommend this restaurant, but make sure to make a reservation as it gets busy.
Delicious, tasteful, stylish and friendly. we arrived 45 minutes before the closeness and were still treated with a wonderful culinary experience. their broth and oil were fresh and tasty. the lasagne was complex and full of taste, and the pizza was authentic Italian, per my Italian fiance. the cannoli was the best I ever had, and went very well with a cappuccino from the bar. bravo!
