Mariposa Baking Company - Oakland

As a Celiac visiting the Oakland area, I was beyond excited to find a dedicated gluten free bakery. Everything was INCREDIBLE I am truly in awe of how they get the texture of their pastures to be flaky! The croissants, pain au chocolat, bear claws, pretzels, etc. out of this world. I would be in trouble if I lived here, highly recommend to any and all!

We make Mariposa in Oakland or the SF Ferry building a stop on all of our trips to the Bay Area! It is such a treat for my sons to be able to order treats that meet their allergy needs. And they are DELICIOUS!

A diamond in the rough for individuals with specific foods needs. All gluten free, many nut-free, soy-free egg-free options as well. Delicious prepared sandwiches, baked goods and breads. Plus, they’re open 7 days a week

Incredible quality and selection of dedicated gluten free delights! Freshly made baked goods and market items to please any level of gluten-free and/or vegan diet. An absolute just visit.

I loooove this bakery, as someone who has significantly many dietary needs, but *man* do I wish they'd open earlier! 10am on a weekend means I can never get their stuff for weekend breakfasts. And I wish they had more than one person making sandwiches because if you order one you can expect a 20m minimum wait. Banana chocolate chip muffin is the best thing I've ever eaten, though!
