Still the best Pupusa in the bay after all these years and a good memory not to judge a book with its cover.

I come here for about 20 years because of my Popusa repair! I always loved it! They are always so delicious very affordable! I don't come too often, but if I do, I only have Popusa. I never had anything else on her menu, but I don't doubt it's good. If I went to visit a friend in Concord, I'd pick up something for us for lunch. She likes her better than the restaurants in her area.

I've eaten here for the last 8 years and hands down is the best Salvadorian food I've ever had except my mother's home cooking. If you have never had this food and are foreign to Central American cuisine, then you cannot understand what you should eat or what authenticity this food should be. Despite what other reviews have said that it is too fat, news flashes are supposed to be fat. If they say it was terrible service because it took a long time, they are hand making your order right after your order, what you expect. I would totally ignore the bad reviews and give this place an attempt, it is absolutely one of the most amazing gems in Oakland!

It was great to see the pupusas being made on the spot. The place feels authentic and the food was impressive (chicharron and loroco pupusas and fried plantains, beans and cream).

The pupusas are so good! They are flavorful, well-portioned, and cooked to perfection.
