Lena's Soul Food - Oakland

Finally had the opportunity to visit lena’s soul food restaurant, in oakland, ca. although the restaurant is only taken. I found the restaurant staff very friendly to be the selection of the food great. I decided to have the fried fish plate and eating fresh. the portion sizes are hearty, so that they can either divide a meal or spilit the deer into two separate meal times. I'll be safe in the future.

From dallas, who visits the bay area. I wanted some comfort-soul food. this place meets the place, tasty roasted chicken, tasteful greens and hit her mama yams! I left twice!

I come to lena when I have a taste for seafood, which for me always lures the fried fish it is basa . I get the food order and it is always....did, they hear me? always hot, fresh, perfectly fritted with a light cripple and oh so good. I ask for crispy pieces and they never disappoint fresh and taste. they also get a nice part. they have the b-e-s-t-mac and be in this part of the city, their greens are bombed, I even have the sukcotash of a day and it was also delicious! can’t be wrong with lena’s

Food was AMAZING and I'm from the south so I know good soul food and was also very reasonably priced for the portion sizes definitely would visit again

Visited Oakland from Cincinnati. Was looking for a soul food restaurant and chose Lena’s based on the reviews. OMG! My family and I have not had soul food like this in awhile. From the blackened catfish, mac and cheese, green, cabbage, yams, peach cobbler, Chicken; yes we tried it all! It was AMAZING! Fast and friendly service. FANTASTIC FOOD.
