Bare Knuckle Pizza - Oakland

Really delicious pizza that is light and crispy! Ordered the vegan supreme and it was full of flavour.

Really good choice of special ingredients pizza. I'll add the creations a lot.

Recently went to Bare Knuckle Pizza for dinner. Started w/ an arugula salad. I am a big fan of arugula. The salad was all arugula w/ a nice dressing vegan parmesan cheese. Would have been nice to have some tomato or other salad greens or veggies to give it a bit more variety. The vegan parmesan cheese added a nice touch. Would recommend this simple yummy salad to pair w/ a pizza. Went w/ the vegan margarita pizza. It was solid. Before I went vegan went to Naples, Italy so have experienced a margarita pizza there. The margarita pizza here is authentic. Love the simplicity of this pizza. Fresh vegan mozzarella cheese from nearby Vegan Butcher's Son in Berkeley really made this pizza great. Loved the fresh basil fresh tomato sauce. Super fresh pizza. 5 stars for the pizza. Probably the best vegan pizza in the SF Bay Area. Yet 1 star deduction for the atmosphere. Loud over stimulating music near the few seats by the bar. Opted to sit upstairs. It was really loud up there too. No doubt it was crowded super busy w/ a family w/ a few children. when I went here. The acoustics of the restaurant aren't the best. Having said that come here for the amazing vegan pizza. For a quiet candlelight romantic dinner look elsewhere!

Seriously! If you like pizza in the traditional style, you must visit Viet and his wood-fired oven. Bare Knuckle has a vegan option for every pizza on their menu, and they use vegan cheeses and meats from the inimitable Butcher's Son. And the crust! It's truly amazing!! This is where I say Trust me, I'm Italian!

The pizza here is phenomenal! so tasteful, it has really scratched my pizza idea, since become vegan. the tko with mushrooms, mozzarella, truffle oil and parm is from this world. I also recommend the cherry cake, the roaster, the pfirsich or pear cake and the margarita. the mozzarella is cashew based, by the butchers son. the owner struggling the aromes together do that it dances in their mouth. this is not only pizza, where they take off cow cheese for vegan and then tastes it as mixed. they keep all vegan tools separated to avoid contamination. also this is a real little business. the owner is in there every night and throws a bite and builds up the fire. updated by previous review on 2019-09-08
