The restaurant was slow on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the vegetarian combination, which included buticha, mushroom wot, and tofu dulet. Everything was delicious!

Comfort Ethiopian food in Oakland is my top choice for Ethiopian cuisine in the East Bay! The prices are very reasonable.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic. It's a charming little place with a cozy atmosphere, and the staff was attentive and pleasant. We visited while staying with friends in Oakland who are vegan, and we were delighted to find a wide array of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. We were very satisfied with our experience and will definitely make it a point to return the next time we’re in town.

Lovely staff made me gluten free injera to accompany a wonderful vegetarian platter. A little outdoor space in front with three tables so our dog could join us. The dishes were spiced just right.

I love this place, and it is the best Ethiopian food in the Bay Area once Ensarro closed down from a fire (hope they come back someday). I enjoy their meat and vegetarian combination plates. I saw a review about the lack of taste. I'm not sure what happened to them, but I always had a flavorful dish and it smells amazing (I get takeout here once every other week). That review also said it was too fragrant? I think they have never had Ethiopian food, because that's a normal expectation of their cuisine. I saw a review about the length of waiting for their food. I do agree you wait a bit for your order, but it is so worth it. Give this place a try!
