Lazo Empanadas - Oakland Park

Delicious! I set out to try four empanadas and chose spicy chicken, spicy pork, spicy steak, and left one spot open for a wildcard. I was recommended the mushroom empanada, and I'm so glad I took that advice. Here's how I’d rank them: 1. Spicy chicken, 2. Mushroom, 3. Spicy beef, 4. Spicy steak. I highly recommend this place! The owner was really laid-back and even referred to the empanadas as "receipt orders," which added to the fun atmosphere. Great vibe and fantastic food. Five stars!

I had the best empanada of my life at this restaurant! The empanadas are fresh, soft, flaky, and full of flavor. They’re not left sitting under a heat lamp for hours; instead, they are freshly baked. The customer service is also excellent.

These are definitely not traditional Argentine empanadas, but they are incredibly delicious! I highly recommend the steak quesadilla—it's quite unorthodox but absolutely fantastic. The empanada we had was vibrant and flavorful. Our least favorite was the chorizo, as it didn’t contain much chorizo at all. I would definitely return to try more flavors!

Really delicious empanadas! The quality and taste are great! Superb texture, just the right kind of flake and crunch. I had the ground beef, which was delicious. Highly recommend this hidden gem!
