Cupcake Up - Oakdale

Absolutely Delicious! I tried red velvet, pink champagne, salted caramel, chocomama, and lemon. To me all of them were sweet, tasty, and almost too pretty to eat. I highly recommend trying one of their tasty treats.

My first time visiting this little shop. While the shop is very small with no room for sitting, the atmosphere is welcoming. The sweet smell of desserts lightly floats through the air, welcoming you as you approach the door. Inside they have some small cakes on display to the left and inside of the lovely little antique cabinet to your right they have their weekly ready to eat choices. All of the displays were so lovely and very appropriately priced. I chose a total of four, butterfinger, lemon, pink champagne, and carrot. To my surprise the actual cupcakes to be sold were just as, if not more beautiful than the displays. Now just because I'm prego does not mean I'm a pig. Of course I will be reluctantly splitting each one with my hubby. However, we have only ate two of these enticing little delights so far. The lemon cupcake...heavenly...just...heavenly. the perfect amount of filling. It was so sweet and rich with flavor that my taste buds actually tingled while eating it. The next one was the butterfinger (hubby's choice). I was worried that it may be a little over powering with as sweet as it smelled and looked. Not the case at all. This cupcake was just as light and fluffy. While yes it was much sweeter than the lemon, it was still incredible. We look forward to trying our other two choices after dinner, as well as our next trip to this incredible little cupcake secret that Oakdale has been lucky enough to house within the community.
