Much to our dismay, Bastia Pasta was completely dark and was not even open even after I had confirmed the reservations the same day! Please explain to me how this scenario can happen as there was an obvious breakdown in your processessystem
New Years Eve! Seated immediately, good drinks and wine, and a surf and turf dinner filet and lobster tail. Live music and dancing, with noisemakers, balloons and a glass of champagne at midnight. Valet parking is a nice touch
UPDATED sadly they closed Signs on door and website is gone. As always we had a great time there. Good food and so reasonably priced.Joseph is the best waiter in the western suburbs. After dinner drinks in the bar with their live entertainment was fantastic. So much fun and a super way to ring in the new year
We went to Bast a Pasta on New Years Eve. We were told that none of their beer taps were working and out of Prospect which is strange for that particular night. Their house salad is mostly white iceberg lettuce and not very appetizing Needles to say we were disappointed especially after dining in their Edison Park location which we loved
The appetizers are varied and many looked intriguing. We had two different ones and they were good and the portions were very good for the price. The main courses were not good. My friend ordered Veal Parmigiana and got Chicken Parm so had to wait for them to make the correct entree. The sauce on her dish had WAY too sweet and tasted really bad. The pasta was also not cooked properly. My sausage rigatoni was almost inedible. It was swimming in grease. You could have spooned the grease out of the bowl. The pasta was large and looked very unappetizing. It was like a piece of intestine. I had about bites and left the rest. The tomato sauce tasted like tomato puree from a can. The waiter realized we were not eating the entrees and asked us about them and we said they werent what we expected. He gave us a free dessert which was nice.I wouldnt go back or recommend the place. It called Basta Pasta and the pasta dishes were awful
