That was a phenomenal experience! The service was a true A and the pizza was amazing! It was a peaceful experience I recommend this place if you are ever in the area!

Absolutely love this place. Huge portions, great food, wonderful service, such cute seating in the back. My boyfriend and I go here pretty often and we're always so happy with the service. We spend the same amount of money here as we do when we go out anywhere else and we always have leftovers. Everyone is so nice here and I never have a complaint.
I never like to slam a family owned business... or a place that clearly is a regular spot for locals. However, this restaurant really disappointed my husband me when we were on a special visit back to the area I grew up in. We could have gone anywhere in Nyack or Piermont or other nearby areas, but we chose Amici for the pizza! Well... we walked in, realized that the front was a busy pizzeria, then saw that there was a restaurant in the back. That looked inviting. So, we went back, were seated quickly, given waters, etc. drinks. We read the menu, sort of got a sinking feeling, realizing there was no pizza on the menu. We asked, thinking there must be a separate pizza menu after all, it seemed like a classically Italian pizzeria/trattoria. Then the server told us that there was no pizza served in the back. Wait isn 't this a pizzeria , we asked? No dice. The pizzas were coming going fast in the front, cars literally lined up for take out. But it wasn 't somehow allowed to have pizza in the restaurant! Very odd. And frankly, being a person who 's lived in Italy, that 's not very Italian. Nonetheless, despite having been critical, I must state my eggplant parmigiana was very good. It was NOT an Italian style serving, as it was an absurdly large plate full. However, frankly, if you wanted it as a first course perhaps, two or more could share it. We ended up taking it with us, ate it the next day while continuing our traveling. My husband thought his salad was dreadful, swimming in dressing as he said. Anyway, my Italian family is long gone from Nyack, sadly. If they were still there, I don 't know if they 'd frequent Amici ... and given our experience, I can 't speak to the pizza, unfortunately.
