Our room was very clean and appeared to have been recently updated with a new bathroom, toilet and soft furnishings. The bed was so comfortable I found it quite difficult to rise in the mornings. Being at the back of the Inn proved to be a little noisy at times due to customers leaving the bottle-o at quite a speed and a generator kicking in from time to time. It was hot the afternoon we arrived, fortunately we remembered to pack our bathers and we went for a dip and a spa in the generously furnished and well-kept fenced pool area. Dinner in the bistro the first night was plentiful and delicious. We had the fried cheeses and arancini balls for entree followed by the seafood platter for two, all complimented by the Kellermiester Pinot Gris. Had we realised how large the platter would be we would have reconsidered entree as we were unable to finish it, leaving the chips and salt and pepper squid. Dinner on the second night was still delicious though the chicken in my chicken and prawn larb salad was very dry and I left it aside. The salad was very generous and despite leaving the chicken I still left feeling satisfied. My husband had the heidelberg chicken breast and thoroughly enjoyed it. All-in-all our stay at the Vine Inn was comfortable and enjoyable and I would recommend the Inn as an affordable base-camp for families looking to experience the Barossa Valley.
An old favourite when in town to visit family. Nothing amazing but it is good quality country pub food.
Really enjoyed being here in the country. . Very country. Service basic until conversation then so helpful from a tourist point of view. Great suggestions for where to go and what to see. . Food very good
