It’s sad to state, but it’s a pain to find vegan dishes in Nur-Sultan. So it’s a big luck that there is such cafe near the Museum of the Future.
One of the only vegan places in the city, great selection of veggie and vegan food, drinks and also products to buy (vegan sausage, chocolate and more). Really nice staff, cool atmosphere and delicious food! Highly recommend
Everything was tasty and fresh. Here we could try traditional Kazakh dishes like small dumplings or Beshbarmak (comes with 4 different meal alternatives). The address is a bit confusing it's next to Photobar in the corner. Updated from previous review on 2022 05 24
Astana’s no place for vegans, so this was a treat. Tucked away in a quiet street just a few minutes by taxi from the centre of Astana, it’s a simple, café-restaurant with friendly, welcoming staff. (They don’t speak a lot of English, but are keen to help. The menu’s all vegetarian and about half of it’s vegan. We ate so well we came back a couple of nights later for more. The highlight was a fried aubergine dish, but other great things included battered tofu ‘fish’, borscht, a seaweed salad, and passion-fruit lemonade. The starters, soups and salads seemed better than the main courses, and there were a few dishes that were a little uninspired. Tofu with vegetables and couscous could have done with more flavour. No vegan deserts, disappointingly. But, overall, it was great, and so welcome in a city where the main dish is horse-meat.
