Andiamo Bloomfield Township - null

Server forgot our salads and brought wrong meal to my wife. Made excuses that restaurant was closing for renovations next week and everyone was busy with that event. Server also cut his finger in kitchen and was missing for awhile. No management ever came to our table to apologize or offer any explanation. Do not go to Andiamo Bloomfield.

We upgraded to Caesar salad before our mains. Dad had the whitefish. I've never had any whitefish so succulent and tasty! Whatever they did to the skin/ crust was just amazing. I had the Branzino, which is served with artichoke, some cherry tomatoes and Marcona almonds . Also seriously delicious. We finished off with the bread pudding. It was very delicious, however, I think I would prefer bread pudding that's a little bit more pudding like meaning less dense. We ate it and enjoyed it! The staff was excellent and friendly. The guy assigned to clearing our tables and wrapping up the leftovers took great care in asking what we wanted to include our doggy bag, etc. Very sweet and very polite. Much appreciated. The only downside was a table of parents with teenage children next to us. The kids were fine, but the father of one family kept loudly yelling f bombs when he was describing something to one of his buddies who was standing right next to him. So completely unnecessary in a place like that. If we were in a sports bar or something, maybe. But not an elegant place like Andiamo.  One of the rare times my dad's hearing loss was a blessing because he did not notice.

We have been to Andiamo Bloomfield many times before. But this time on Sunday May 26, we did not have good experience with food especially and service was average not what we expect at Andiamo. Food: We were party of four. Two of us ordered Cheese ravioli and it was like someone took Costco ravioli and put it in sauce and heated in microwave. Very poor dish. Three in the party in Minestrone Soup. It was not at all tasty and everyone left it with just one and two spoonful. Very Bad Food Experience. Service: Our server was courteous but would disappear after dropping food or drinks and never check if we needed anything. Again not a very good experience one expects of Andiamo.

Very pleasant environment, always excellent food, and reasonable prices. Service is usually impeccable, although on this occasion, our waiter had a large party in another room and our service suffered as a result. We'll definitely return.....

I was impressed by the hostess, who knew my preferences from prior visits and Open Table reservations. She saved me a table and the waitress that we have liked on previous visits. Well done.
