While we are there, we enjoyed our excursions in several of these restaurants. Arturos was our best experience to date. The restaurant has a quite upscale atmosphere. You can still dress casually and sit immediately. The place is full of topicality. Waiters and employees do their best to satisfy their customers. They offer a very good service. The atmosphere is clean, but nothing extraordinary to consider. The food we had was very good. We tried her goat's court and it was really the best goats we ever had. Nothing we compared with that. The prices here are slightly lower than a US restaurant. Don't come here with cheap food. You pay US dollars and we're out there for about $60. This is a place where we would return. Our experience in this border town was very safe and enjoyable (also with the language barrier as we are not Spanish speakers). Our reviews: Essen 4.5 atmosphere 3.5 Renown 4 Romantic Appeal 4 Service 4.5 value ANNEX All average on 4.1 stars. We would like to return to this restaurant. We look forward to our next trip to the border.
We had lunch at Arturo's when we were in Nuevo. We were seated promptly, had a delicious lunch, and were on our way after about 45 minutes. The restaurant is clean, especially the restrooms, and the menu notes that it serves Culligan water, for those concerned. We would return if we get back.
This place was recommended by a guy we met. Very disappointing. It's rare that I have nothing good to say. This is a money machine. Food is very bad, taste less, much too expensive, and not what you expect. Maybe if you're from Ny or Canada, but not from the southwest. We are very familiar with Jalisco Northern Mexican cooking and that's not it. BTW the waiter coughed. When we spent 3 hours walking around here and get a 20 minutes tooth replacement. I can't see anything except the dentist's coming here. I would certainly not plan to eat or drink or cut a hair. Every body tried to pull every cent out of you. The place is by far the dirtyest Mexican city I was in.
I hadn 't been to Arturo 's in several years, but it was exactly the same as I remembered. Same decor, same waiters, same great service. We started off with drinks of course. The margaritas are served in little champagne glasses and an olive! Very tasty. The beer is truly ice cold and accompanied with a small chilled glass. They immediately serve chips, pico de gallo, hot sauce and guacamole. Your glass is not empty and the waiter is back with another round until you tell them to stop. The menu is extensive. Seafood, steaks and mexican favorites. We had the tenderloin tampaquena, milanesa, quail and nachos. Oh the nachos. You can stay as long as you want. No rush. Eventhough it was crowded, we were seated immediately and service was second to none. We got a drink to go and wandered up and down the main drag shopping. We stopped in for a final cocktail in the bar and had another plate of nachos. Don 't miss this landmark dining experience!!
This is a very upscale restaurant for the area. It is super clean, and well decorated. The waiters are dressed in coat and tie. But you don't have to dress up to eat there. The meals are fantastic, and the service matches. This is a go to place when we are in Nuevo Progreso, Mx. My wife says the have the best pollo mole, in the world. The lonches are very good as is everything else we have eaten there. The prices are very inexpensive given the quality of food, and service.
