Przekaż informację zwrotnąAs we travel thru NCG four times a year on our way to Durango we always wanted to try this intriguing restaurant. We stopped by the place on our arrival in NCG and asked if they would be opened for dinner. We talked to the...son Alvyn who speaks perfect English, Spanish and French and made reservations for pm. We were the only customers on a Wednesday night but had a lovely time and the food was delicious. The hosts are great and we plan to go back on our next trip. As they didn't take credit card I had to pay in dollars without any problem. Thank you Alvyn and Philippe.
So unlikely to find this superb Belgium restaurant in Casas Grandes. A dinner for thirty of us with great service and memorable food. We had filet mignon, cilantro soup and a delicious pastry/cake for desert. Highly recommended.
Chef Philippe, owner of Malmedy, is the real deal: a celebrated European chef who’s made his living serving up fine dining specialties in unlikely locations. The restaurant is housed in a two-story brick Mormon home just off Nuevo Casas Grandes’ main drag, and its two...downstairs parlors, decorated with photos of Belgium, provide a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. The restaurant caters to group tours, and Philippe and his staff are well-prepared to insure a satisfying dining experience. The food is tremendous. Our party swore the steaks were among the best they’d ever tasted, while the salmon proved tender and delightfully seasoned. Malmedy is an ideal place for that elegant dinner you’ve been promising yourselves on your tour of dusty Chihuahua.
I ate here as part of an escorted tour, there were of us who descended on the restaurant by bus. The owner is from Belgium and the restaurant is really a Victorian style house. We were served our courses in leisurely Mexican fashion and...were back on the bus hours later.
My wife and I ate at this restaurant along with our traveling companions during a recent vacation in Northern Mexico. The owner/chef is Belgian and he provided an excellent meal for all of us. He was a very fun guy who came onto the bus...to thank us for visiting his restaurant and wishing us well for our vacation. Do not be put off by the state of the building as it looks like a house that is being renovated. The inside is very nice.
