There is a reason that officials like to take guests to Schupfnudel because it is a high-quality authentic Swabian restaurant - as expected is hard on meat, sauces, and Swabian pasta dishes, sparrows and mouthbags....We also had excellent local wine. I love how the Germans like to sit and talk long after dinner is closed. I love going to Nuertingen every autumn!
Good service, pleasant ambiente, long waiting times, adult eating so the short summary. in total approx. 90 min waiting for a suppe and a main dish is extremely long. the suppers were extremely tasty and made hope for more. unfortunately unfounded. the main foods were only cold and had to be partially warmed up. it was tasteful then on average. so a lot of upswing, little success.
I have eaten here year after year whenever I visted NGU, my host university. There's a reason officials like to take guests to Schupfnudel because it's a high-quality authentic Swabian restaurant--as can be expected heavy on meat, sauces, and Swabian pasta dishes, spaetzle and maultaschen. We also had excellent local wine. I love how Germans love to sit and talk long after dinner has concluded. I love going to Nuertingen every fall!
The schupfnudl belongs to the best western hotel am schlossberg, but also has a separate entrance. it is very close to the center. The restaurant is nicely furnished and there are upscale Swabian cuisine but also a very delicious sausage salad and a super dessert plate!! We have reserved a candle-light dinner for our 2nd high-time day. these are 4-courses with apertif for 32 euro. we sat quite romantically a bit off, our table was very nicely decorated and the candlelight of course did not miss. the service is nice, friendly and attentive. eating is very good and plentiful. Price performance is very good.
The schupfnudl is the most known as restaurant am schlossberg, and is located quite close to the center in the hotel am schlossberg (now a best vestern) in nürtingen. the combination of the restaurant name and locality already reveals something about the kitchen, selected meals of the somewhat more upscale kitchen but there are also some selected Swabian dishes to be found. Here you will find a good selection of local and foreign weeping and a fine dessert selection. The service is very friendly, and on request we were also given a wee recommendation for the menu choice. In the interior, everything is comfortably separated but still open, there is also a terrace with some seating options in the outside area. the equipment is kept in the style of the year of construction (essentially 90s) but very well maintained and the ambiente is very pleasant.Parking is well possible in the (almost)? in-house parking garage, but also from the (bus) station or from the center to reach well for a walk.
