Schäufelewärtschaft - Nürnberg

Me and my boyfriend tried some local specialities of the restaurant that was absolutely rich in taste and nicely served on the plates. The entire interior of the restaurant was verry charming but the best was the service, as the waiter was so friendly and really made our visit special. I definitely recommend this restaurant once you are in Nurnberg!

Came to check out the great food reviews. Food was great. The specialty was pork shoulder -very good. Also the sauerbraten with gingerbread sauce was excellent. Food a bit salty but would do it again. Good prices. About 10 euros a dish. No parking. Friendly staff

Great, great Frankish food. Huge portions. The pork shoulder was excellent, but enough for three. The usual enormous potato dumplings and the server brought extra sauce without us asking. An excellent value as well. Small doorway a few blocks from the tram, check the street numbers or you could miss it. Make reservations. We went on a Tuesday and they were booked up. Fortunately, we went very early and so we were seated but had to be out before 7.

We arrived at this neighborhood restaurant and it was full. As we turned to leave, a server called us back and opened up the other dining area in the lower level for us. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Definitely recommended!

We ate here on the first night of a long weekend having just arrived and dumped stuff in our nearby apartment hotel.My son and I had a large and a small slow roast pork shoulder with a beer and apple juice for less than 25 Euros. Was very tasty - only negative was that the service was a little surly but not offputtingly so. Enjoy the food.....
