Trini Spice - Nowatney

Food is delicious. Oh gosh I can not stress dis enough. Everything is made fresh to order. I haven't seen my family in so long; the tastes here reminded me of them. The only thing that threw me of is that my family cooks with lighter oil. And the bakes n fish here is like fried fish sandwich. It's delicious but greasy. Don't let this deter you from eating here. It's DEFINITELY WORTH TRYING!!!

I've been wanting to try this food truck since it open down the street and it did not disappoint! I got there a little late in the day, so they were out of the curries I wanted to try but the stewed chicken was pretty tasty. They throw a side of their homemade hot sauce which is definitely HOT so be careful, it made me sweat! The portion sizes are pretty large and enough for at least two meals. The star of the show for me was the spinach! I definitely plan to return and try the doubles and curries!

Stopped by this gem on a whim when looking for some authentic Caribbean food when I stumbled on this Trini food truck. I got doubles, curry chicken roti and a vegetarian roti, all of which were fantastic. I am a recent transplant to the Tampa Bay area from ATL and this is the first Caribbean restaurant that had food worth talking about in this area. I'm also a fellow Trini. The wait was about 15 minutes which made sense since my paratha and dahl puri were both nice and freshly made. This is a 35 minute drive for me but I definitely will be back when I need that fix again which I'm sure will be very soon.

I have tried this place three times but sadly I will not be going back . Just letting you know if you are planning on going there be prepared to wait a very long time even though U order ahead and also Your order may be incorrect. Management is very bad . I ordered polourie it tasted very bad apparently the dough was sour. Another time I place an order when I got there only to be told by one of the girls that her son ate the last of the polourie although I had called and ordered way ahead of time also the Order that I place was incorrect totally Messed up very disappointed! Last and final time call to place an order the girl said they were very busy and my order would not be ready for 40 mins I said ok. I placed my order drove 40 mins when I got there the girl said they only had two doubles left mine u we ordered 12 . The rest of the food we still had to wait another 30 mins and again no polourie . Very sad and disappointed . I felt really bad not only for myself but for the other people at home who was waiting for us to return with food. Any way if u reading this it's just a little heads up.
