Champions Sports Bar Restaurant

Spending a week in Tampa and my first food outing was this place. I loved the Impossible Veggie Burger. I understand the impossible part because this burger tastes like a beef patty. I even asked the waitress if my burger was the right one and apparently I’m not the only one to inquire about this burger being a veggie burger. It comes with lettuce, tomato, and guacamole.

Fun place to eat before heading to a game at Amalie arena. Only issue is that the beer prices are very high, even for a hotel.

Ate here because we were staying in the hotel. Subpar service and food. The best part of my meal was wine, and it was bottled.

Terrible service. Granted, we went during a time when there are thousands of people wearing green for a conference but as I understand it that conference happens every year so this should be no surprise. Staff up and handle the larger volume of people. We ordered our food at 730p and it did not come out until 830p and the server never even acknowledged that the food was taking a while. On another night when trying to order to go from our room, after being hung up on several times by someone who clearly wasn’t trained to operate a phone (I realize phones are perplexing pieces of machinery), when we finally got through they said “we aren’t taking to go orders”. You can tell it’s a mismanaged operation. Slow service, turning away business, apathetic. It’s too bad as it’s in a great location.

Great sports bar food was good and service was fast
