Penn Station East Coast Subs - Novi

Yikes. I’ve been to Penn Station ECS (not this one) before and really enjoyed it. However, I went there for lunch today and had a very weird experience. The guy who took my order (chubby, tattoos, scraggly beard, and dirty looking), I’m assuming he was the manager, just stared straight ahead as I was relating what I wanted. There were several long pauses where I was about to ask him if he heard me or if he was ok. As I went down to the other end to pay (along with four other customers) he proceeded to shamble down and help make sandwiches. As he’s doing this, he starts repeating the word “HPV” numerous times like it was a joke. I had to google it on my phone to ensure it meant what I thought. Then a short while later he started talking about $hit stains. The employee next to him looked at him like he was crazy. Then he told a customer how slow his employees were. We can clearly hear him. I could go on. Got a very bad vibe. Dude was weird AF. I won’t be back for sure.

First time trying this place. The subs are quite good! They are made to order and the ingredients were nice. I ordered a large sub and a medium fry and had to take half of both home they were so large. Only complaint was nearly every table looked dirty like they hadn't been wiped down in a while.

Great food and great staff! I'll bee back again and again. Suggested my coworkers try you and they're hooked too!

I spent over $16 and hardly got any food. I’m still hungry. Shrinkflation has hit Penn Station hard. Much more affordable options
