China Cafe - Novi

We live just down the street and had always heard good things, but never made our way to China Cafe. Tonight we ordered takeout and it was AMAZING! I went in to pick up our order and immediately regretted not going in to eat. The restaurant is beautiful and such a cool vibe inside. The woman who helped me out when I walked in was so helpful in a busy restaurant. She even recommended other dishes for me to order next time, which I will do. The food was by far the best Chinese in the area. Give these people your money. You won't regret it. Vegetarian options: So many great tofu options. We will ALWAYS go there from now on.

We bought some fried rice and two sweet and sour dishes for the first time here, and the price was $71 plus tip.... Seems pretty steep for how the quality of chicken and meal was. Chicken was pretty chewy and not appetizing at all. I will say the quantity was HUGE, too much for any person. The size could last 3 days in our household. Price really turns me off, especially when you pay for a meal that is quite expensive and you get lower than average quality food. Where has the quality food gone? I feel so dissatisfied in most meals that I don't make myself.

This place has very good food. it is a little pricy for the portion size, and I wish the entrees included a bit more vegetables, but the flavors are superb.

I came in for take out and wished I had just gotten a table instead. This places atmosphere was so unique, inviting, and bubbly, music was at a nice level, the place was packed at both the bar and seating, everything within my first 10 seconds of walking in was amazing and that’s a lot coming from me since I never really had a colorful and flavorful experience just by walking in. My SO and I will definitely be back to enjoy this experience in full. So glad I found this gem that’s hidden in a random Novi plaza. Keep up the great work and don’t change.
